Euroclix
Euroclix is a website where you can register to earn clix by filling out surveys,
playing games, reading ads, asking friends to join, etc.
Once you have earned clix, you can exchange those clix for gifts or money or you can
donate your clix to charity.
Onno was hired by Semantica Software to help rewrite the entire application from the existing SilverStream architecture into a plain JEE application, using Tapestry 4 as web framework. This rewrite is part of a larger project planned to remove some legacy code that was hard to localize and to bring the application over to JDK 1.5.
Euroclix wants to start offering their web application in multiple languages soon and the rewrite allows them to easily do that. It also gives them more flexibility and much better performance.
